GENERAL ASSEMBLY AND ELECTIONS OF THE RWANDA NATIONAL PHARMACY COUNCIL BOARD

On 9th of September 2016, at Sportview Hotel/ Kicukiro took place the Rwanda National pharmacy council General assembly, which gathered more than 300 pharmacists from around the country. The General Assembly is an annual event that brings together all registered Pharmacy professionals in Rwanda for an invaluable opportunity to uphold the growth of pharmacy profession in Rwanda

The NPC General assembly opening was undertaken by Phn KABATENDE Joseph who represented the Ministry of health.  This was followed by an inspirational key note addressed by Dr Raymond MUGANGA, the NPC Chairperson.

The main point on the agenda was the election of the new council Board after three years term in office of the outgoing team. The elections were conducted by an independent electoral committee led by Phn Patrick SIBOMANA. The Committee was composed of eleven (11) members elected by the general assembly on the same day.

The General assembly was called to elect The National Council Board, The Bureau of the National Council Board, and Technical Committees.

The elected National Council Board is led by:

  1. The Chairperson: Dr. Raymond Muganga, MPharm, PhD, RPh.
  2. The Vice Chairperson: Phn Noel RUTAMBIKA, RPh.
  3. The Executive Secretary: Phn Patrick NGANJI, RPh.
  4. The Treasurer: Phn Marie Claire NYINAWINKINDI, RPh.
