Partnership with Babylon Health Rwanda

One 5 August 2016, the NPC had a meeting with Babylon Rwanda (Babyl) to discuss ways of partnership and collaboration in the future between the two institutions.

Babylon Health, is a British health service provider that enables users to have virtual consultations with doctors and health care professionals via text and video  messaging through its mobile application. The service also allows users to receive drug prescriptions, referrals to health specialists, and book health exams with nearby facilities

Over 1 million people in the United Kingdom are currently using this service since its launch in 2014. Rwanda will be part of the global expansion programme in efforts to promote universal health care. Babyl is working in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Rwanda Social Security Board and mobile networks to launch the service.

We will soon be starting delivering our services in Rwanda and pharmacists will play a key role in the process: Said Tracey McNeill – Managing Director, Babylon Rwanda.

This is an amazing project that will allow more Rwandan to have access to health care, be assured that we will be delighted to provide the necessary support and collaboration that you and your team will expect from our council: said Raymond Muganga – Chairperson of NPC.
