FIP-YPG chairperson meets young Rwandan pharmacists


Yesterday, on Tuesday May 10, 2016,the National Pharmacy Council (NPC)  hosted a meeting between young Rwandan pharmacists and Seun Omobo.

Seun Omobo is the chairperson of the International Pharmaceutical Federation–Young Pharmacists’ Group (FIP-YPG), an organization that was officially established as a network of International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) in 2001. It aims at encouraging young pharmacists to get actively involved in international pharmacy and within the sections and organization of FIP.

In her discussion with young pharmacists, she shared experiences and achievements and a special emphasis was made on aiming high, taking risks, working hard so as to prove that you are effective. ”You are ineffective until you prove that you are effective”she said. She also encouraged young pharmacists to get involved not only in practicing pharmacy profession but also in science (research). She added that there is a need of genuine researches in pharmacy domain.

She finally encouraged young pharmacists in Rwanda to join FIP as once become an Individual Member of FIP, they automatically become a Member of YPG free of charge if you are under 35 years old or have graduated from your FIRST PHARMACY DEGREE in the last five years.
